As a Veterinary Technician at BVH, you’ll be an essential part of our patient care team, working closely with veterinarians and fellow techs to ensure excellent outcomes for our patients.
We support our technicians with advanced training and encourage growth in areas of special interest. Our practice is tech-forward and emphasizes involving technicians in all aspects of patient care.
- Special Opportunity – We train qualified technicians to perform Global
FAST, full abdominal, and/or echocardiogram ultrasounds, giving you a unique skill set in point‑of‑care diagnostics.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred (CVT or equivalent skills a plus)
- At least 1 year of surgical experience required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively
- Flexibility for 10‑hour shifts, rotating weekends, treatment, and holiday shifts
- Surgical preparation, assisting, and anesthesia monitoring
- Dental procedures, including dental radiographs
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Low‑stress patient handling and restraint
Laboratory sample preparation and interpretation - Performing digital radiology
- Preparing prescriptions and client communication
- Patient discharge instructions and education
