Fund Accounting Manager

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking an experienced fund accounting professional to join its Real Estate Fund Finance team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing the accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, and operational activities for a portfolio of institutional real estate investment funds.

The position offers broad exposure across fund finance and the opportunity to collaborate with senior professionals throughout Accounting, Operations, Investor Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Valuations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.

• Oversee and review quarterly fund close and reporting processes, including investment valuations, performance fees, credit facility activity, cash balances, and expense allocations.
• Review quarterly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP.
• Review supporting work papers and schedules for financial statement balances.
• Review quarterly investor capital account statements.
• Oversee financial reporting for underlying holding companies and SPV entities.
• Review regulatory filings, including Form ADV, Form PF, CIMA filings, and Annex IV reporting.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors throughout the annual audit process, including SOX 404 compliance.
• Maintain and review waterfall models, including management fee, contribution, and distribution calculations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of investor management fee, capital contribution, and distribution notices.
• Ensure timely and professional responses to investor inquiries.
• Mentor and develop accounting professionals across global locations.
• Coordinate internal cash movements and treasury-related activities.
• Partner closely with Operations, Investor Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Valuations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams.
• Support the testing, implementation, and enhancement of technology initiatives designed to improve processes and increase efficiencies across the finance organization.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA and/or CFA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in real estate and/or private equity fund accounting, public accounting, or fund administration.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, and investment structures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Highly organized and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
