Senior Vice President, Production Services Application Support

Role Overview

BNY is seeking a Senior Vice President – Resiliency to lead and advance critical resiliency initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for driving continuity across strategic resiliency priorities and providing leadership across a broad portfolio of programs focused on strengthening operational stability, recovery readiness, and transformation execution.

The successful candidate will serve as a senior leader across initiatives spanning Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Chaos Engineering, End-of-Life (EOL) Remediation, and related transformation efforts. This role will also support emerging frontline priorities within the resiliency domain and help shape strategic direction across engineering and operational teams.

The ideal candidate will combine strong execution with sound judgment, including the ability to evaluate priorities and implementation approaches, articulate trade-offs, identify risks and dependencies early, and drive pragmatic decisions that support both immediate resiliency objectives and long-term operational stability. The role also requires a proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to work independently while effectively coordinating across a broad stakeholder group.

A key component of the role will be identifying and implementing AI-driven automation opportunities to improve operational resilience, increase efficiency, and enhance the organization’s overall resiliency capabilities.

• Lead enterprise resiliency initiatives aligned to organizational priorities and continuity requirements.

• Drive execution across Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Chaos Engineering, and EOL remediation program.

• Support broader transformation initiatives tied to resiliency, recovery readiness, and operational effectiveness.

• Partner with engineering leaders, application managers, and senior business stakeholders across multiple platforms to coordinate complex cross-functional initiatives.

• Develop and execute strategies to improve resiliency, observability, incident management, and operational performance.

• Identify opportunities for AI-enabled automation to strengthen resiliency outcomes and streamline operational processes.

• Provide leadership across large-scale production support, service management, and SRE-oriented operating models.

• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including Dev Sec Ops , Agile delivery, cloud transformation, and site reliability engineering principles.

• Evaluate approaches and communicate trade-offs involving resilience, recovery readiness, operational complexity, delivery speed, and long-term sustainability.

• Proactively identify technical, operational, delivery, and cross-team dependency risks; assess impact; elevate appropriately; and drive mitigation plans.

• Coordinate dependencies across teams, platforms, and stakeholders to maintain alignment and execution momentum.

• Act as a senior point of coordination for emerging resiliency priorities and strategic initiatives.

• Extensive experience in technology leadership, with depth across project management, production support, AIOps, SRE, and service management.

• Proven track record leading large-scale initiatives in complex enterprise environments.

• Strong experience in application development and support, operational resilience, and enterprise transformation.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results across multiple stakeholder groups.

• Experience improving resiliency, observability, incident response, and operational performance.

• Strong leadership, execution discipline, and ability to influence across technical and business teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate priorities, risks, constraints, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated proactivity, strong ownership, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex environment.

• Delivers complex resiliency initiatives with strong execution and measurable operational improvement.
