Job Description

Make a daily impact supporting elementary students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in an inclusion setting. This full-time contract role offers the rewarding opportunity to empower learners and collaborate closely with general education teachers to foster a supportive environment for all.

As an Inclusion Teacher, you'll work alongside a dynamic team of educators to address diverse student needs, modify curricula, and advocate for individualized learning. You'll inspire growth, celebrate differences, and create a classroom that champions student success at every turn.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Special Education
  • Proven experience teaching at the elementary level preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to collaborate and co-teach with general education staff
  • Skilled at differentiating instruction within inclusive classroom environments
  • Compassionate, dedicated, and flexible mindset

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction to elementary students with a variety of learning needs within an inclusion classroom
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons and promote participation
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Actively communicate with parents, staff, and support personnel regarding student development
  • Foster an environment centered on respect, acceptance, and growth
  • Assess academic and behavioral progress, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Participate in professional meetings and ongoing training to stay current with best practices

In this role, you’ll build relationships that change lives, provide critical interventions, and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive alongside their peers.
