Responsibilities

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

+ Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls

+ Analyze financial data and provide insights to management

+ Support audits and liaise with external auditors

+ Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes

Requirements

- 4+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably at the assistant controller level within retail or manufacturing.

- Hands-on experience in treasury management, including investor distributions and banking activities.

- Proficiency in preparing financial statements and partnership-related documents such as K-1s and trust letters.

- Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents, including agreements and contracts.

- Familiarity with entity formation and dissolution processes, including compliance with state regulations.

- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial data.

- Knowledge of partnership waterfalls and priority distributions is preferred.

- Experience with Yardi accounting software and investor relations is a plus.
