Speech Pathologist, Rehabilitation
- Evaluate and assess each patient utilizing various objective tests and measurements, and clinical observations, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Develop proper therapeutic treatment plan of care and anticipated outcomes for each patient in accordance with a written and signed Physician's order or prescription, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Modify treatment program based on patient response and/or ineffectiveness as noted in the medical record.
- Document initial assessments, reassessments, and progress notes for each patient in accordance with established department policy and procedure.
The Speech Therapist Per Diem will:
- Evaluate and assess each patient utilizing various objective tests and measurements, and clinical observations, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Develop proper therapeutic treatment plan of care and anticipated outcomes for each patient in accordance with a written and signed Physician's order or prescription, as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).
- Modify treatment program based on patient response and/or ineffectiveness as noted in the medical record.
- Document initial assessments, reassessments, and progress notes for each patient in accordance with established department policy and procedure.
- Requires a Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from a college or university accredited by the council on Academic Accreditation in Speech Language Pathology (CAA).
- Requires a current New Jersey State license and registration in Speech and Language Pathology or eligibility.
- Previous experience preferred but not necessary. New graduates acceptable.
- Requires analytic ability, use of independent judgment and sufficient interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with patients, families, students, peers and other health care professionals.
- BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology attained within 90 days of hire into the role
Salary Range: 39.31 - 62.90 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
