Job Description
Medical Assistant - Pain Management Clinic
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday
- Friday, varying hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Location: Pain Management Clinic
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Front Desk / Medical Assistant to join our growing pain management practice. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred), thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well with others, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.

Qualifications- Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems preferred
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Handle new patient inquiries and scheduling
- Add new patients to the insurance verification tracker
- Process incoming and outgoing faxes
- Manage medical records requests
- Collect urine toxicology (Utox) specimens
- Review and manage patient alerts
- Monitor and maintain front desk supplies
- Restock printer paper and office materials
- Process SIS paperwork and post-operative documentation
- Check patients in and out
- Collect copayments and patient balances
- Open and prepare the front desk each morning
- Open front door and unlock main entrance
- Plug in display case, air filters, and dehumidifier
- Turn on TVs to designated channels
- Ensure lobby is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Fill and turn on oil diffusers
- Set up computer workstation for the day
- Ensure bathrooms are stocked with supplies
- Ensure kitchen and common areas are stocked and organized
- Review patient charts and alerts
- Enter schedule blocks into the scheduling system
- Obtain and collect medical records prior to appointments
- Upload Utox results into patient charts and notify providers when necessary
- Perform appointment confirmation calls
- Room patients and obtain necessary information
- Clean and prepare exam rooms
- Track and follow up on open encounters for assigned providers
- Assist physicians and clinical staff as needed
