The Institute for Hand & Arm Surgery is a specialized orthopedic upper extremity practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and peripheral nerve conditions. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. We provide comprehensive treatment ranging from conservative management of common injuries to advanced surgical care for complex upper extremity conditions.
Position OverviewThe Institute for Hand & Arm Surgery is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for a part-time or full-time, on-site position providing maternity leave coverage. The therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of upper extremity diagnoses, fabricate custom orthoses, and work closely with our hand surgeons to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services. This position offers direct mentorship from two hand surgeons.
Qualifications- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred but not required
- Physical Agent Modality Certification preferred
- Experience in upper extremity rehabilitation and custom orthosis fabrication
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid clinical reasoning and medical knowledge
- Previous hand therapy experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Part-Time or Full-Time Maternity Coverage Position. Anticipated coverage period:
Approximately 5–6 months, starting mid September 2026
