Nor Am Communications Senior Director
Location:
Hybrid working model with three days’ working in the Bridgewater, NJ office (Tuesday through Thursday)
Biocon is seeking a strategic, dynamic, and experienced Senior Director, North America Communications (Nor Am) to lead the company's communications strategy across the region. Reporting to the Head of Communications, Advanced Markets, this role is responsible for developing and executing internal communications and social media that strengthen Biocon's corporate reputation, elevate brand visibility, support business growth, and position the company as a trusted leader in the biopharmaceutical industry in North America.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and impactful communications campaigns in Nor Am. Your role will involve managing external (excluding PR), internal communications, employee event support, executive event support, social media campaigns, and branding initiatives for Nor Am. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this position in Nor Am.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive North America internal communications and social media strategy aligned with the overall organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, target audience, and market trends, ensuring communications and marketing efforts are aligned. Manage communications for key executives in North America across exec communication, townhalls etc.
- Manage and oversee the development of compelling communications campaigns, including content creation, advertising, and promotional activities across various channels (digital, social media, events, etc.).
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and brand identity across all marketing and communication materials, both online and offline.
- Contribute and collaborate with the Global team to ensure that Nor Am is represented through the content from the region across internal platforms like Synapse, digital screens etc.
- Support communications during key launches and events in North America.
- Oversee management of Nor Am digital and social media updates, including product-specific website updates.
- Develop executive communication strategies for the North America leadership team.
- Create speeches, town halls, keynote presentations, op-eds, Linked In thought leadership, and executive messaging.
- Support the external media team during crisis.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communications and marketing initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage the communications and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking ROI.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in communications and marketing to bring innovative ideas to the organization.
- Collaborate with the Global team across internal, executive communications and social media
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required. Experience working in a global company is preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum seven to 10 years) in communications and marketing, with a focus on external and internal communications, brand management, campaign development, and social media.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse team members. Demonstrated ability to be entrepreneurial, agile and flexible in a global, matrixed work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Proficiency in using marketing and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, social media management platforms, and CRM systems.
