Job Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Brand Director – United States to lead end-to-end brand strategy, launch excellence, and commercial growth for Henlius’ oncology and biosimilar portfolio in the US market.

This role will be responsible for brand lifecycle management, commercialization planning, competitive positioning, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to support successful product launches and sustained market growth. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in oncology and/or biosimilar commercialization, strong strategic marketing capabilities, and proven success driving cross-functional launch execution within the US pharmaceutical market.

The Brand Director will work closely with Market Access, Sales, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, and Global teams to ensure aligned, compliant, and high-impact commercialization execution.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own end-to-end brand strategy, annual brand planning (ABP), forecasting inputs, and budget management for assigned US oncology and biosimilar assets.
  • Lead market assessment, segmentation, targeting, positioning, and competitive intelligence to drive differentiated value propositions and strong market positioning.
  • Oversee brand lifecycle strategy, including pre-launch planning, launch readiness, in-line growth initiatives, and lifecycle optimization.
  • Lead Brand team to execute tactical plans and ensure operational excellence.

Launch Excellence & Omnichannel Commercialization

  • Lead commercialization planning and execution for US launches of biosimilars and specialty oncology products.
  • Drive development and execution of launch tactics, including:
  • Launch campaigns and promotional initiatives
  • HCP marketing materials and sales aids
  • Payer marketing support materials
  • Speaker programs and launch events
  • Digital and omnichannel campaigns
  • Website and patient support materials
  • Ensure high-quality, compliant, and on-time execution of launch deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations and Sales leadership to optimize field readiness and launch effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Commercial Leadership

  • Partner closely with Market Access teams to align brand strategy with payer, reimbursement, and access priorities.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Communications, Commercial Operations, and Alliance Management teams to ensure aligned execution.
  • Support development of customer-facing value messaging and commercial materials aligned with access strategy.
  • Ensure strong governance, KPI alignment, and launch milestone management across functions.

Commercial Performance & Business Management

  • Support achievement of top-line sales, market share, and forecast objectives for assigned brands.
  • Monitor brand performance, competitive dynamics, and market trends; proactively recommend optimization strategies.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making through business analytics and commercial insights.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with FDA, PhRMA, and company compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field (essential).
  • Minimum 10–12 years of pharmaceutical or biotech commercial experience, including significant experience in US brand marketing.
  • Proven track record supporting successful US product launches in oncology and/or biosimilars.
  • Strong understanding of US pharmaceutical commercialization, customer engagement, and promotional strategy.
  • Experience leading cross-functional launch teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, forecasting, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in oncology, biosimilars, and/or specialty biologics.
  • Experience in both large pharmaceutical and growth-stage biotech environments.
  • Strong omnichannel marketing and digital commercialization experience.
  • Experience supporting complex launches in competitive therapeutic categories.
