Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Somers Point, NJ
Position Type: Travel RN
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks (July 27, 2026 – October 26, 2026)
Schedule: 12-Hour Day Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
We're seeking an experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a busy hospital team providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate is confident managing all phases of labor and delivery while also supporting postpartum mother-baby care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced L&D nurse looking for a rewarding travel assignment with a collaborative clinical team.
Must Haves- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Previous Mother-Baby/Postpartum experience
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
- Experience circulating Cesarean sections
- Knowledge of Epic or other electronic medical record systems
- STABLE certification (preferred)
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring
- Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during labor and delivery
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Provide postpartum and newborn care, education, and support
- Recognize and respond quickly to obstetric emergencies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- 13-week travel contract
