Registered Nurse -Special Care Nursery​/NICU - Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Special Care Nursery/NICU provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to expanding their knowledge and skills while delivering high-quality care.

• Pay: $46 - $46/hour
• Location: Brick, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Initiate interventions related to changes in patient condition.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

Education:

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing strongly preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.

Experience:

• 6+ months of nursing experience required.
• 2-3 years inpatient nursing experience preferred.
• 2-3 years SCN/NICU, Mother Baby experience preferred.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• NRP highly preferred.
