We are looking for a curious, disciplined, and highly motivated Junior AI Engineer to join our team. This role is designed for someone at the beginning of their engineering career who is excited to learn, solve difficult problems, and build practical AI systems. You will receive guidance and collaborate with experienced engineers while developing your skills across machine learning, software engineering, data, and AI products.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Warren, NJ is $60K-$65K/year & benefits (see below).
Responsibilities:- Build, test, and improve AI and machine learning features.
- Write clean, reliable, and well-documented Python code.
- Work with data to prepare, analyze, and validate datasets.
- Implement and evaluate machine learning models and AI workflows.
- Experiment with large language models, APIs, embeddings, or other AI technologies.
- Design tests and use evidence to evaluate whether a system is working well.
- Debug technical problems systematically.
- Read technical documentation, research papers, and unfamiliar codebases.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other team members.
- Document your work, assumptions, results, and next steps.
- Continuously learn new tools, methods, and concepts as the field evolves.
- A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is welcome but not required
. Equivalent skills gained through projects, bootcamps, independent study, military service, or other experiences are also valued. - A solid foundation in programming, especially Python, through coursework, projects, internships, research, or self-directed learning.
- Familiarity with machine learning or deep learning concepts.
- Experience with Python libraries such as Num Py, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or Tensor Flow.
- Exposure to SQL, APIs, Git, Linux, cloud platforms, or software testing.
- Experience building personal, academic, open-source, or hackathon projects.
- Familiarity with probability, statistics, linear algebra, or calculus.
- A Git Hub portfolio, technical project, research project, or other demonstration of your work.
