Apprentice Accommodation Maintenance Technician

On our 24‑month apprenticeship programme you will learn the skills to become a successful Accommodation Maintenance Technician with a fantastic range of future career options ahead of you.

With the current levels of advancement in technology, there could not be a more exciting time to join us. On a daily basis you’ll work within one of our service centres where you will learn to:

• Prepare, maintain and repair the range of portable buildings available within our Accommodation business division.
• Develop and utilise joinery, plumbing, electrical and decorating skills to ensure all buildings are completed to a high standard.
• Successfully fit all necessary interior fixtures and prepare cabins for decoration.
• Assess cabins for damage and potential faults, diagnosing and rectifying any issues while implementing effective repairs to meet Company and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records.
• Comply with all safety guidelines, legislation and regulations.
• Develop in‑depth product knowledge.
• Build excellent working relationships with customers and understand their business needs and requirements.
• Act as an ambassador for our “Customer First” culture, resolving issues quickly and keeping colleagues and customers informed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the wider Sunbelt Rentals team to expand your team‑working skills.
• Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced operational environment.

We’ll provide you with a comprehensive company induction, role‑specific training and apprenticeship support. You will become part of a larger apprentice cohort, form lifelong relationships and engage in a wider support network. We’ll also support your personal growth and development in line with your Sunbelt Rentals career aspirations. Apprenticeship training includes attending in‑house and manufacturer courses to expand your product knowledge and skills.

• Workplace experience to gain practical skills.
• Guidance and training from an experienced workplace mentor.
• Industry‑recognised training leading to a Level 2 Maintenance Occupations (Multi‑Skill) Apprenticeship Framework qualification. This will involve attending Bridgend College on a regular basis.
