Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments. Experience in electrical infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

Professional Engineering (PE) license. Experience working with data center equipment and environments (e.g., switch gear, generators, transformers, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems), with a strong understanding of start up/commissioning processes. Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of high voltage substations, medium or low voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and associated power management or SCADA tools. Experience in estimating, electrical design, operation, and commissioning of substations, switch gear, ATP/ATS, emergency power systems and their control systems, power monitoring, and electrical protection.

You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians. With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).

As a Data Center Services Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the field-level implementation and operational support of Google's rapidly expanding data centers. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of complex Electrical distribution systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, swiftly, and with high quality. This involves managing site-level electrical engineering issues, ensuring compliance with design standards and local regulations, supporting quality assurance, and providing technical guidance to vendor teams.

We're looking for a strong communicator and collaborator who thrives on construction sites and has experience with complex mechanical systems, ideally within mission-critical facilities, heavy industrial, oil and gas, or semiconductor industries. Ability to be onsite 5 days a week.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $144000 - $208000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
