Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising, labor management, and planning of inbound, outbound, product slotting, and customer communication activities. This includes labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment, and manpower management. Under direction of Operations or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor ensures the receiving, warehousing and shipping of products meet company service and cost objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct regular staff meetings to review daily/weekly work, planning, and continuous improvement.
- Inform senior management and client representatives of critical operational issues.
- Develop and enforce systems and procedures for safe and profitable operations; meet productivity and service goals.
- Implement cost‑saving measures, report progress, and provide suggestions for more efficient operations.
- Maintain client KPI compliance and quality system requirements.
- Provide direction and support to HR; participate in hiring, training, performance evaluation, and promotion recommendations.
- Plan daily work schedules based on work orders, arrival notices and customer instructions; allocate duties to warehouse staff.
- Analyze pending jobs, reorganize warehouse space, adjust staffing and supplies as needed.
- Train new staff and delegate training responsibilities to experienced team members.
- Provide guidance throughout the day, support compliance with SOPs, and keep the manager informed of progress or problems.
High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in logistics, distribution or related environment; 1 year supervisory experience. Preferred: MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation.
Skills & Abilities- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), RF scanners, WMS functions.

Occasional bending, frequent walking and standing, constant sitting, ability to lift/carry 11‑20 pounds, reach above shoulder, squat or kneel. Work in temperatures ranging from mild to moderate. Perform other warehouse duties.
Work EnvironmentNoise level usually low to moderate; rarely exposed to fumes, airborne particles or toxic chemicals.
Compensation & BenefitsBase pay $65,000 – $75,000 annually, performance‑based bonus eligibility, comprehensive health benefits (medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance), flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, 401(k) with up to 5% company match, paid time off, holidays and floating holidays.
