Structural Steel And Misc Metals Estimator

We are looking for an experienced structural steel and misc metals estimator for projects ranging from $5,000 to $2

Mil.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to determine the materials, labor, and time requirements for structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including material quantities, labor costs, subcontractor bids, and overhead costs.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project needs and scope.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and services.
  • Analyze bid documents and determine potential risks, as well as suggest alternatives or cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain and update cost databases for materials and labor to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Provide value engineering and alternative solutions to meet budget constraints while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Track project progress and update estimates as changes occur during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials and services to the job site.
  • Assist in identifying project scope changes and their potential impact on costs and timelines.
  • 9 hour days

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
