Transdev in Bridgeport, Connecticut is hiring a Scheduler/Reservationist to intercept customer calls and schedule transportation. We are seeking friendly, customer service-oriented people who are dedicated to safety.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• $18.45 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale)

• Starting pays $18.45 with progression to $21.00 over 3 years.

• Full-time employees are entitled to vacation time based on the following schedule:

• After one (1) full year of service: 5 days

• After two (2) full years of service:
  10 days

• After five (5) full years of service:
  15 days

• After ten (10) full years of service:
  20 days

• After twenty (20) full years of service:
  25 days

• Paid Sick Leave5-sick days,

• 10 paid company holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer customer calls and input ride information using a computerized scheduling system.

• Enter new customer information and changes into the system.

• Data entry into spreadsheets and databases.

• Communicate late vehicle service and verifying “No Shows” with customers.

• Resolve service-related complaints.

• Create daily route maps of the reservations for the drivers.

• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 2 years reservationist or customer service experience.

• Computer literate

• Excellent communication and listening skills.

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.

• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

• Push and pull objects up to 30-pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
