Kinetic Potential (KP) is a mission driven for-profit organization, based in the Danville and South Boston, VA area, that has a tremendous opportunity to expand its occupational skills training and community service offerings throughout the United States. The firm is preparing for significant growth and seeking KP Mentors to provide onsite support for people with unique abilities.

The KP Mentor is a member of the delivery team responsible for supporting the implementation of services for the mentorship of 5-10 K12 students or individuals with unique abilities and successful implementation/administration of KP’s workforce development, community supports or K12 programs. KP Mentors develop positive mentoring relationships with participants and forge a team-based work environment that motivates individuals to give their maximum effort in pursuit of their desired career goals.

KP Mentors perform a variety of functions often in conjunction with a KP Tutor, KP Talent Advisor or other KP Mentors.

Responsibilities

The ultimate measure of success for a KP Mentor is participant attendance and performance in the associated KP Program. KP Mentors receive ongoing professional development in the areas of Customer Service, KP Technology, Marketing, Community Supports and Youth Services. KP Mentors are responsible for identifying additional resources that prepare individuals for careers with high earning potential.

Provide Project Management, overseeing the successful implementation of KP Programs within a designated school or school district.

Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and educators to identify eligible students for KP Programs and Services.

Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, employers, and service providers to facilitate the delivery of KP Programs and Services.

Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of workshops, training sessions, and activities.

Provide guidance and support to students, ensuring they receive appropriate services tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of KP Programs and Services, collecting data and feedback to assess outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.

Maintain accurate records of student participation, progress, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Serve as a liaison between the school or district, students, families, and external stakeholders to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Support Lead Executive in managing and supporting a team of 5-10 individuals throughout the duration of the program (including office admin support, teaching support, minor medical support).

Provide program administration—scheduling sessions, supporting transportation, capturing participant attendance, maintaining student records, building the capacity of team members and ensuring readiness of technical facilities.

Engage with parents / officials on the progress of participants and action plans to improve performance.

Qualifications

CAPM or PMP Certification strongly desired.

Reliable transportation and the ability to work on-site in the Danville, South Boston and surrounding areas at a local school or other facility (often in computer lab). There will be various locations- TBD.

The ideal candidate has prior experience working with client populations that face adversity (i.e., "uniquely abled", veterans, minorities, and others).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Community member that is comfortable with technology and distance learning services (plus if you are a current college student, educator, or nurse)

Able to provide a positive example to students by supporting KP Mission.

Ability to mentor and inspire individuals to Want More. Do More. Be More.
