2025 - 2026 School Year Bridgeport Public Schools Human Resources Department 45 Lyon Terrace, Room 324 Bridgeport, CT 06604 JOB OPENING CAFETERIA ASSISTANT (PART-TIME) BOE NUTRITION CENTER

SALARY: $16.11 PER HOUR

• Supervising the children in cafeterias and classrooms during breakfast and lunch period.
• Encouraging students to consume all lunch foods, including milk.
• Cleaning and wiping tables and spills after each breakfast and lunch period.
• Assisting children to open food packages, milk, and juice containers.
• Redistributing refused food to sharing table.
• Providing students with extra straws, napkins, condiments, etc.
• Picking up all garbage, but also encouraging students to pick up paper and food items, on and around their table or desk, and placing them into a refuse container.
• Assisting the cafeteria workers in handing out food and milk, help to keep students in order as they pass through line.
• FFVP-Assist in packaging and distribution the bags or baskets of fresh fruit and vegetable.
• Spot sweep and spot mop any spill of beverage or food.
• Recycling unwanted milk into containers to discard
• Lifting of bokes or milk crates.
