Preschool And Kindergarten Special Education Teacher
A unique opportunity for an Early Childhood Teacher with special education experience. Cheshire Public Schools is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and collaborative Early Childhood Teacher to join our inclusive preschool team. This position involves teaching in a public school setting that integrates children with and without special education needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, a commitment to inclusive education, and a nurturing, child-centered approach.
The teacher would be responsible for delivering special education intervention/instruction for students with but not limited to Developmental Delay, Multiple Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or Speech and Language Impairment.
Applicants must possess Connecticut Teaching Certificate #112, #065 or #165. Familiarity with positive behavioral supports, play-based curriculum approaches and strong collaboration skills.
Salary:
In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Education Association of Cheshire. Children of a teacher who does not reside in Cheshire may attend the Cheshire Public Schools so long as the teacher continues to teach in Cheshire and pays 50% of the published regular education tuition cost, plus any additional costs incurred by the District regarding their child.
