Student Support Specialist
- Adult Education
The Student Support Specialist supports adult education students by coordinating testing, maintaining accurate data, and helping students access services needed for success. This position has a strong focus on test proctoring, LACES data entry, credit tracking, and monitoring student progress in online learning platforms such as Edgenuity. The role works closely with the Data Manager, counselors, and instructional staff to ensure students are supported and program requirements are met.
Student Support & Scheduling
· Serve as a point of contact for current and prospective students.
· Schedule student testing and support services.
· Assist students with accessing support services and referrals.
· Monitor attendance and collaborate with staff to ensure timely feedback on student progress.
Test Proctoring
· Prepare testing rooms and materials.
· Verify student identification and follow check-in procedures.
· Administer and monitor tests to ensure a secure environment.
· Follow all testing rules and report any issues.
LACES Data Entry
· Enter and update student information in LACES.
· Track attendance, testing, and outcomes.
· Ensure data is accurate and up to date.
· Complete tasks assigned by the Data Manager.
Credit Diploma Support
· Conduct credit reviews for students in the diploma program.
· Enter and update student credits.
· Track progress toward graduation.
· Complete end-of-semester credit entry.
Edgenuity Monitoring
· Monitor student progress in Edgenuity courses.
· Track completion and pacing.
· Identify students who need support.
· Communicate with staff about student progress.
Qualifications
· Associate's degree required;
Bachelor's preferred.
· Experience in Adult Education, data entry, or student services.
· Strong organizational and computer skills.
· Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
