Special Education Paraprofessional - Student Support

Special Education Paraprofessional to make a real impact in a supportive school environment in Bridgeport, CT

• Provide dedicated one‑on‑one support to an High School student, focusing on managing and modifying high‑level behavioral needs in the classroom.
• Implement the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) by consistently applying de‑escalation and therapeutic crisis intervention techniques to maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Collect and maintain accurate data on the student's behavior patterns, interventions, and progress, and communicate effectively with the special education teacher and behavior specialists.

• Associate degree or 2years of college credit(Required)
  • Alternatively:
    High School diploma/equivalent and a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment(Required)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training is (Strongly Preferred)
• Strong behavior management background and experience with middle/high school students (Preferred)

• Top Compensation:
  Earn up to $27.10 - $27.70 Per Hour, based on your experience and qualifications as a Paraprofessional, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
