We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Structural Steel Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, design, and execution of structural steel projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans for structural steel projects. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Design Coordination: Collaborate with architectural and structural design teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements. Review and approve shop drawings and design calculations.
  • Technical Support: Provide engineering support during the construction phase, addressing technical queries and resolving on-site issues related to structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. Conduct inspections and quality control checks on materials and construction practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence. Ensure all project changes are documented and communicated effectively.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and resource utilization. Assist in preparing financial reports and forecasts.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to facilitate smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
  • 7-10 years experience in structural steel design and project management, preferably in a construction or engineering firm.
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD or similar design tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
