IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING – Chief Inspector (Connecticut)
Garg Consulting Services, Inc. (Garg) is currently seeking a qualified Chief Inspector for ongoing and upcoming projects in Connecticut. Founded in 1990, Garg is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm with a strong focus on transportation infrastructure, including bridges, highways, and rail systems. With over 90 employees and offices in Rocky Hill, CT and Princeton, NJ, Garg is actively involved in some of the most prominent infrastructure projects in the Northeast.

Employment Type:
Full-time
Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise field inspection staff on day-to-day field operations for bridge, highway or rail projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, and agency standards.
- Coordinate and communicate with resident engineers, contractors, and client representatives to resolve construction issues.
- Monitor progress, verify pay quantities, and track project schedule and budget impacts.
- Review and submit daily work reports, photo documentation, and contractor submittals. Ensure adherence to safety standards and project quality assurance/quality control plans.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of construction inspection experience, preferably on CTDOT or other public transportation rail, highway or transportation projects over $20M.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE, CCM, EIT or NICET IV in Transportation/Highway Construction.
- NETTCP, ACI, CWI, ATSSA Certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites throughout Connecticut
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are unable to provide a visa sponsorship at this time.
