Job Description & How to Apply Below

Exo Talent Partners is partnering confidentially with a well-established U.S. manufacturer of advanced magnetic components to hire a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with deep expertise in high-frequency power magnetics.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role in which you design custom magnetic components for mission-critical Defense, Aerospace, Industrial, and Commercial applications. The position offers high visibility, direct customer interaction, and a clear path into technical leadership or engineering management within 6–12 months based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the design of transformers, inductors, planar magnetics, chokes, EMI filters, and high-voltage magnetic assemblies
  • Own designs end-to-end from customer requirements through validation and production release
  • Design high-frequency switching power magnetics across all major power conversion topologies
  • Interface directly with aerospace and defense customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and execute prototype builds, testing, and performance validation
  • Apply SPICE, 3D CAD, and electromagnetic FEA tools to support design decisions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical direction and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience designing magnetic components and/or SMPS circuits
  • Strong understanding of high-frequency magnetics, materials, and loss mechanisms
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Interest in growing into a technical lead or engineering management role
Why This Role
  • Defined and realistic path to engineering leadership
  • Technically challenging, real-world products with long program life cycles
  • High ownership, visibility, and direct customer exposure
  • Leadership growth without stepping away from hands-on engineering
