Well-established renewable energy EPC contractor delivering turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction solutions across solar PV and battery energy storage systems. The business operates primarily across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S., with a strong track record in commercial rooftop, community solar, and ground-mount projects.
The team is lean, experienced, and field-driven, with a focus on execution quality and long-term client relationships. To date, the organization has delivered 400MW+ of solar projects and continues to scale its pipeline across distributed generation and hybrid solar + storage developments.
The Estimator will support preconstruction and bidding activities across solar PV and BESS projects, developing accurate and competitive EPC cost estimates from early-stage budgets through to final bid submissions.
This role works closely with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure estimates are commercially sound, constructible, and aligned with execution strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed EPC cost estimates for solar PV and battery storage projects (rooftop, community solar, and ground-mount up to ~10MW)
- Complete quantity takeoffs from drawings and design documents
- Build full cost models covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirects
- Source and validate pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives
- Contribute to bid strategy, risk assessment, and margin review discussions
- Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating benchmarks
- Support smooth handover from estimating to project execution teams
- 3–7+ years estimating experience in renewable energy, electrical contracting, or EPC environments
- Strong solar PV knowledge (commercial or community solar preferred)
- Exposure to battery energy storage systems (preferred)
- Strong Excel and cost modelling capability
- Ability to read electrical and civil drawings
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Experience in fast-paced EPC environments
