The Facilities Manager in Bridgeport, CT is accountable for overseeing maintenance and engineering support functions, as well as managing plant improvement projects in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves project planning and execution, vendor and contractor supervision, and providing guidance for plant maintenance programs utilizing predictive and preventative maintenance techniques. Additionally, the Facilities Manager leads the maintenance personnel at the facility and offers technical support for plant and process enhancements, along with other engineering functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate plant-specific functions related to predictive and preventative maintenance, availability enhancements, and production costs:
A. Coordinate and conduct performance testing of plant systems. Analyze data to determine necessary repairs or replacements and strive for improved equipment performance.
B. Identify potential equipment issues using tools and analysis techniques to prevent future outages.
C. Assist in developing preventative and scheduled maintenance activities.
D. Support outage planning.
E. Conduct Root Cause Analysis to prevent equipment failures.
F. Collaborate with Operations Manager to update maintenance schedules for combustion turbines.
2. Supervise Maintenance Department personnel to ensure plant efficiency, safety, and environmental standards compliance. Manage facility work orders using CMMS.
3. Aid General Manager in creating annual maintenance budgets.
4. Utilize CMMS program (Maximo) to schedule work, manage inventory, and procure parts.
5. Provide training and development for maintenance team to maintain required skill sets.
6. Investigate plant issues and incidents, providing analyses, recommendations, and follow-up plans.
7. Conduct inspections during outages for various plant equipment.
8. Offer technical support in contractor oversight, ensuring compliance with QA/QC procedures during outages.
9. Coordinate with external contacts and plant personnel for equipment modifications, problem resolution, and information exchange.
Additional Requirements:
• Experience with Maximo CMMS and proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel, preferred
• Occasional overnight travel may be necessary
• Physical ability to traverse plant facilities and stairways

Hours:
This role may require on-call availability for emergency situations and standby duty.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant power plant-related experience
