La commune de LA GAUDE is a small town of more than 7,000 inhabitants, located between the sea and the mountains, about twenty kilometers from Nice. It is part of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan area. The towns located in its vicinity are Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Saint-Jeannet, and Vence. The Gaudois territory, well-sunny, retains large green spaces and this environment contributes to the pleasantness of living there.

In the field of security, the commune of La Gaude has launched, in collaboration with the Gendarmerie of Vence and the Municipal Police, the operation "Tranquillity vacations," as well as the concept "Citizen Participation" which is a system relying on the vigilance of neighbors in the same neighborhood, to fight against local delinquency and particularly against burglaries. Under the responsibility of the Mayor and the Head of the PM service, the municipal police officer carries out the necessary prevention missions to maintain public order, safety, security, and cleanliness.

He also ensures a relationship of proximity with the population.

Competencies:

- Having basic knowledge of law: penal code, urban code, road code, fundamental rights of persons, funeral legislation, etc;

- Having basic knowledge of the rules of judicial procedures, notions of the rules relating to public establishments, basic notions of human behavior analysis;

- Mastering the rules of public safety, techniques of individual apprehension, legislation on dangerous dogs, basic techniques of communication, conflict management, and mediation;

- Mastering the computer tool;

- Being able to show pedagogy, psychology, self-control, discretion, and availability;

- Respecting one's duty of probity;

- Being able to organize one's work on a daily basis and being able to define the priorities (of the service and its missions);

- Showing organization, vigilance, rigor, and methodology in one's work. Initial training as a municipal police officer completed.
