About the Role

Under the direct supervision of the Manager of IT Audit, the IT Auditor will provide high-quality internal audits ensuring procedural and regulatory standards are met. The IT Auditor will follow Internal Audit Policies and Procedures aligned with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

The IT Auditor will design and execute assurance activities to help the organization achieve its objectives. The role involves collaboration with Internal teams to achieve the goals of the annual Internal Audit Plan, building relationships across the organization, and developing actionable recommendations to improve and simplify business processes. The candidate will be hands-on and involved in all aspects of audit projects, from planning to execution, ensuring processes are relevant and consistently applied in accordance with corporate and industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Internal Audit leadership with maintaining a compliant Internal Audit methodology and supporting materials (policies, procedures, workpaper standards, charters, etc.) and governance structure.
  • Perform internal IT audit engagements and assessments as determined in the annual Internal Audit Plan, including evaluation of IT General Controls, Application Controls, Network Controls, and IT security-related Internal Controls, focusing on complex, judgmental, and/or specialized issues.
  • Manage multiple engagement assignments by prioritizing tasks according to risk and feedback, and bring assignments to completion within established time frames with limited supervision.
  • Assist with audit risk assessments of IT processes and systems, plan and develop audit programs, define audit scope, and ensure adequate internal controls.
  • Collect information and IT policies to perform detailed assessments of IT systems and infrastructures to verify security, alignment with business processes, and compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and well-organized audit work papers documenting testing, planning documents, engagement notifications, source documentation, flowcharts, process walkthroughs, and testing of controls.
  • Assess audit results and develop meaningful recommendations for improvement that management can implement considering business context and cost/benefit factors.
  • Prepare audit reports reflecting results and opportunities for improvement; partner with management to develop action plans and monitor remediation.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to simplify processes and improve collaboration across the organization.
  • Complete audit assignments within established time frames and perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager of IT Audit.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Company's operations and serve as a subject matter expert of IT and cybersecurity standards.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, certifications, and training.
  • Travel to other locations for auditing and training purposes, as required (less than 5%).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • CISA, CISSP, and/or CISM certification(s) or commitment to obtaining an appropriate professional certification.
