We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support day‑to‑day purchasing operations by ensuring timely and accurate execution of purchasing activities. This role will partner closely with materials, operations, and procurement teams to drive purchasing efficiency, maintain system accuracy, and support supplier engagement. The ideal candidate will focus on transactional excellence, process adherence, and continuous improvement within the procure‑to‑pay cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute purchase order (PO) creation, updates, and maintenance to support production and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with materials, operations, and procurement teams to ensure alignment on demand, priorities, and delivery expectations.
- Engage with suppliers to confirm order status, pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and manage open purchase orders to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and support accurate three‑way matching processes.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data within ERP systems, ensuring integrity of pricing, lead times, and supplier information.
- Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes, workflows, and system utilization.
- Identify and elevate supply risks, delays, or shortages that could impact operations.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and controls.
- Generate and provide regular updates and reporting on purchasing metrics and order status.
- Partner with procurement to support sourcing initiatives and supplier performance management as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with SAP S/4
HANA and Coupa is strongly preferred. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in transactional processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process efficiency and execution.
The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
