Responsibilities- Deliver meals safely and on schedule to elderly clients using a company vehicle.
- Load, organize, and transport up to 100 meals per day while maintaining food safety standards.
- Provide friendly, respectful customer service during each delivery.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and adjust as needed for weather, traffic, or client needs.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and report any issues, concerns, or changes in client condition.
- Ensure the company vehicle remains clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures when handling food.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, kitchen staff, and program coordinators.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in delivery driving, food service, or community support roles.
- Familiarity with food safety and handling procedures.
- Basic understanding of safe driving practices and vehicle operation.
- Ability to follow routes, read maps, and use basic navigation tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working with seniors or vulnerable populations.
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time-management and route-planning abilities.
- Skill in maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
- Customer-service skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism.

- Must be able to lift and carry insulated meal bags, coolers, and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs, multiple times per shift.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs while delivering meals to homes or apartments.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle for extended periods (up to several hours per day), often getting in and out of the vehicle repeatedly during a shift.
- Use of hands and arms for loading meals, handling food containers, and operating vehicle controls.
- Must be comfortable driving and walking in a variety of weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold.
- Will enter a range of home settings that may include: stairs or uneven walkways, pets, varying levels of cleanliness or clutter, and possible exposure to secondhand smoke, strong odors, or allergens.
- Occasionally exposed to traffic noise, GPS instructions, or other interruptions while on the road.
- May interact with clients who are lonely, ill, or in distress. Must be comfortable offering empathy while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
