We’re growing fast — and we’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is excited to help elevate our operations and support the next stage of the company’s success.
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the CT Operations team in planning, executing, and overseeing the CT Road Division at SMC.
SCHEDULEThis is a full-time in-person position. Days and hours of work can fluctuate, work week runs Monday through Friday, and hours are 40 hours per week in off-season and OT is required during the season.

- Must be able to work in the core office hours of 8:00AM – 6:00PM
- 40+ hours
- Off Season (January – March ~8 hours / 40 Hours per week)
- In Season (March – December ~10+ hours / 50+ Hours per week)

- Assist in managing the field and project team successfully and collaboratively.
- Manage project files and control the flow of information for assigned projects.
- Participate in developing and maintaining the project schedule.
- Analyze project data to assess performance, identify improvements, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions.
- Support day-to-day project activities and project close-out tasks.
- Research and gather information needed for project planning and execution.
- Assist the PM with project financials, cost procedures, estimates, and invoices.
- Use project management and scheduling software consistently and accurately.
- Perform administrative tasks as required and track project progress.
- Report project progress to the Project Manager through all stages.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Paid holidays, and PTO. Time off begins accruing on day one
- Company wide shutdown between Christmas and New Years as well as 80 hours PTO (prorated based on hire date)
