Overview:

The SVP Operations for the East Region is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic direction of, and operational execution across six manufacturing locations. This executive will have full profit and loss (P&L) accountability for the region, focusing on the production of complex composite structures, polymer-based advanced materials, and tight-tolerance, flight-critical machined parts and mechanical assemblies. The SVP will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of safety, and achieve key financial and operational performance targets.

Key Findings

  • Leads and manages 6 complex manufacturing sites within the East Region through five direct reporting site leaders, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Holds full P&L responsibility for the region, accountable for driving financial performance as measured by EBITDA.
  • Oversee the production of complex machined components, mechanical assemblies and single use housings and casings.
  • Ensures paramount accountability for site safety, compliance, and fostering a robust safety culture.
  • Drives performance against key metrics such as timely product delivery, backlog management, scrap/MRB, and book-to-ship ratios.

The SVP will be instrumental in aligning regional operations with overall corporate objectives and having significant impact on the organization's profitability and market position.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    Develop and execute regional operational strategies that support the company’s overall business plan and growth objectives.
  • Financial Management:
    Achieve regional P&L targets, including EBITDA, through effective cost control, revenue optimization, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, quality control, supply chain, logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and develop 5 direct reports, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and high performance across the East Region’s 6 sites (two sites being under a single leader).
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Establish and maintain world-class safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Performance Management:
    Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, backlog reduction, and book-to-ship ratios, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Partner with West Region peers, business development, HR, IT, finance, and other corporate functions to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
