Qualifications

EDUCATION:

BSN required with master's preferred or would need to obtain within three (3) years

EXPERIENCE:

Three (3) years minimum experience in the area of clinical specialization required.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Demonstrates excellence in RN and Charge Nurse roles; performs any and all RN and Charge Nurse responsibilities

as necessary to facilitate patient care and operational efficiency.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Current Connecticut RN Nursing licensure

Additional Information

Work in collaboration with NM of West Tower 7 (Inpatient Oncology), Outpatient Infusion, and Closer to Home Lounge on daily operations.

Oncology and/or outpatient RN experience preferred, but not required.

Flexibility with day and evening shift scheduling required

Position Overview

The STC is responsible for providing advanced clinical leadership and clinical outcomes with the ongoing

management of critical care patients by facilitating operations, improving system processes, and using of

evidence-based patient care. This is facilitated by
1) the management of the delivery of quality patient care and the

facilitation of patient flow to internal and external resources;
2) the facilitation of efficient operations to support the

delivery of patient care;
3) identify and recommend unit-based initiatives to promote patient safety and quality;
4) the

ongoing management of regulatory and organizational compliance requirements. Responsible for performing all

duties in compliance with the Bridgeport Hospital mission, values and customer service standards.
