Introduction
The State of Connecticut, Department of Correction (DOC), is currently recruiting Phlebotomists (35 hour) to perform routine specimen collection and laboratory procedures in a correctional healthcare environment.

Position Highlights
* Perform routine specimen collections and basic laboratory procedures
* Interact directly with the inmate population
* Encouraging compliance with ordered labs and forensic DNA collection;
Interacting with immune compromised individuals.
* Other duties as assigned.
* This unique population requires skills necessary to draw from those with habitual IV drug use and other conditions.
* These positions are full-time, Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
