Position DetailsHartford Health Care is seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative, seasoned team. You will diagnose, treat, and manage acute & chronic diseases, perform procedures, order and interpret diagnostic tests, speak to patients & families about their conditions, communicate effectively, and collaborate with a variety of consultants.

- Under established guidelines and in collaboration or supervision with the practice physician(s), perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
- Consult with physicians and care team members to develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to other health team members or specialists.
- Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols, and identify problems outside that scope and refer appropriately to a physician.
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- Training:
Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Minimum 1+ year experience as an advanced practice provider in a critical care setting
