Provides exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. Serves as the focal professional for the continuity of care within scope of practice standards, as well as specialty‑specific standards to address and resolve problems that may arise.

Responsibilities
  • Implement accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
  • Understand physiological implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures; constantly monitor vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation within the accordance of hospital and regulatory requirements and protect information of all forms from unauthorized access, modification, destruction, or intentional or accidental disclosure.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
  • Continuously engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.
  • Provide anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians.
  • Maintain a patient‑centric environment focusing on the whole individual, including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and functional needs of the patient, family, and significant others.
  • Serve as the focal professional for continuity of care in patient care within scope of practice standards and specialty‑specific standards.
  • Work a flexible, non‑patterned schedule with in‑house call responsibilities including off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays; respond to emergency calls and provide anesthesia services within the hospital setting.
  • Be eligible for the call compensation program in recognition of the position and commitment to the core team.
