About This Role

The RN Oncology Infusion (Per Diem) role involves providing holistic, quality nursing care in outpatient Infusion Centers, focusing on patient assessments, symptom management, and education. This position is ideal for experienced oncology nurses looking to be part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Location: Bridgeport, CT
• Facility: St Vincents Medical Center
• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

• Perform patient assessments and provide symptom management.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Schedule patients for infusion visits in collaboration with provider offices.
• Triage patients for toxicities and symptom management.
• Manage a caseload of patients receiving infusion and oral therapies.
• Communicate effectively with various audiences to achieve desired outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and safety behaviors.
• Implement clinical support programs for optimal care.

Education:

• BSN strongly preferred

Experience:

• Two (2) years of previous oncology nursing experience strongly preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Connecticut RN License
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or within first month of hire)
