American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring TNCC certification and Epic experience.

• Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and IV vasopressor administration
• Central line care/management experience preferred
• 1 professional reference required

• Provide emergency nursing care within a Level II Trauma Center environment
• Free parking available on-site
• Part of a larger academic health system
• Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with exemptions available only for religious or medical reasons
• Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the hospital to be considered
• Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
