Responsible for directing and organizing unit/service operations to ensure patient care is delivered in a manner consistent with the philosophy/goals of the institution. The NM has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the satisfaction of patients, physicians, and staff while demonstrating sound fiscal management.

EDUCATION
BSN required, Masters preferred.
EXPERIENCE3 to 5 years leadership experience.
LICENSURELicensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. All newly hired Registered Nurses must have a current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
SPECIAL SKILLSStrong interpersonal and leadership skills, Good analytical ability to interpret data. Demonstrated ability to implement and support change. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities. Evidence of successful completion of courses on an annual basis.
PHYSICAL DEMANDRequires prolonged standing; walking; use of sight, hearing and touch; moving/lifting patients of varying wieghts.
Additional InformationThe PSM would have managerial responsibilities over Cath/EP, Pre/Post suite, and Cardiac testing. Experience in the Cath/EP lab or a pre/post area strongly preferred.
