About This Role
The Registered Nurse Amb (RN) in Cardiology Diag provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols, ideal for those looking to make a significant impact in patient care.
Highlights- Location: Bridgeport, CT
- Facility: St. Vincent’s Medical Center
- Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM, minimum 2 shifts per month)
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel.
- Participate in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care.
- Participate in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care.
- Education: Associate degree required, BSN preferred.
- Experience: Experience in cardiac care, critical care, or medical-surgical units.
- Licenses &
Certifications:
Current Connecticut RN license. - BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
- Certifications such as Cardiac Vascular Nursing (CVN) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are valuable.
- Automatic enrollment into the Nurse Residency Program for graduate RNs with less than one year of experience.
