Quality Assurance Manager

I'm currently partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer that supplies highly engineered components into the aerospace and defense markets.

Following continued growth and investment, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to lead its site quality function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving quality culture, developing high performing teams, and working closely with customers to ensure the highest standards of manufacturing excellence across a technically demanding production environment.

• Lead the site's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with AS9100, customer requirements and regulatory standards
• Manage, coach and develop a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors and Quality Technicians
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality performance, reduce cost of poor quality and enhance operational efficiency
• Lead root cause investigations using structured problem solving methodologies, implementing robust corrective and preventive actions
• Act as the primary quality interface for customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies
• Lead internal, customer and third party audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and successful audit outcomes
• Develop and monitor key quality metrics including scrap, rework, customer complaints, escapes and supplier performance
• Work cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations and Supply Chain to improve product quality and manufacturing capability
• Support new product introduction activities, ensuring quality requirements are effectively integrated into manufacturing processes
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the business

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related technical discipline
• 7+ years of experience within Aerospace & Defense manufacturing
• Previous experience leading Quality Engineers and Quality personnel within a manufacturing environment
  
  Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems
• Experience leading customer, regulatory and certification audits
• Strong experience with Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, FMEA and continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
