Distribution Sales Manager – Stanley Access Technologies

Stanley Access Technologies, a division of Allegion, is an industry leader in manufacturing, installing, and servicing automatic doors. This role drives direct sales growth and leads a high‑performing distribution sales team.

Job Overview

As a “player‑coach,” the Distribution Sales Manager leads and develops the Distribution Relationship Managers and sales team, maintains key relationships with top‑tier distribution partners to maximize revenue and gross margins, and works strategically to grow accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Development & Mentorship:
    Coach, train, and mentor the Distribution Relationship Managers and sales team members.
  • Employee Engagement & Recognition:
    Foster a positive, high‑energy team culture and implement recognition programs.
  • Onsite Management & Support:
    Provide consistent onsite leadership and field support; travel with team members to distributor meetings.
  • Strategic Oversight:
    Guide team through logistics, order processing, pricing, and forecasting, ensuring autonomy and supply‑chain success.
  • Escalation Management & Cross‑Functional Support:
    Primary point of contact for escalations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive Sales & Grow Accounts:
    Partner with the distribution team to identify and execute sales growth opportunities and competitive line conversions.
  • Relationship Building:
    Build solid relationships and loyalty with key distributor and international customers as senior point of contact.
  • Revenue Synergy:
    Liaise between distributor partners, Allegion RSO branches, and internal AAT departments to maximize synergy.
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    Oversee new product launches, promotional activities, and distributor onboarding.
  • Market Strategy:
    Analyze distributor performance, industry trends, and pricing to achieve revenue forecasts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred (equivalent experience acceptable).
  • 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in distribution, logistics, or supply‑chain operations with supervisory or coaching experience.
  • Passion for employee development, team building, and cultivating a workplace culture.
  • Practical knowledge of trucking, transportation management, and freight optimization.
  • Familiarity with import/export requirements and security practices (C‑TPAT) preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar.
  • Track record of process improvements and measurable cost or service gains.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly customer‑focused and results‑oriented.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided.
Performance Measurements
  • Team Development & Engagement:
    Retention, quota attainment, and engagement initiatives.
  • Sales & Account Growth:
    Dual distributor sales growth and overall revenue targets.
  • Distributor Program Management:
    Execution of sales plans and GPO program management.
  • Field Activity:
    Frequency and effectiveness of distributor visits.
  • Strategic Execution:
    Success of product launches, distributor onboarding, and bid support.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Forecasting, key‑account support, and issue resolution.
Compensation

BAsic salary range: $100,000 – $150,000. Bonus eligible – SIP.
