Armed Security Officer

Pay Rate: $24.49 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable Armed Security Officer to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents as needed. This role requires a high level of integrity, situational awareness, and the ability to work a rotating schedule.

Schedule

* Rotating shifts:

* 0800 - 1600 (Day Shift)

* 1600 - 0000 (Evening Shift)

* Flexibility required, including weekends and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

* Provide armed security presence and patrol assigned areas

* Monitor access control points and verify credentials

* Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents

* Conduct routine patrols of the facility and surrounding property

* Complete accurate reports and incident documentation

* Enforce company policies and procedures

* De-escalate conflicts and handle situations professionally

* Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

* Must be at least 21 years of age

* Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Prior armed security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to remain calm under pressure

* CT Pistol Permit

Additional Requirements

* Must pass background check and drug screening

* Must be physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

* Firearms proficiency and safety training required

* Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime if needed
