Duties
* You will monitor and troubleshoot all Marine Corps Electronic Security Systems, Intrusion Detection System, alarm, mass notification and CCTV systems installed and annunciating at the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department.
* You will receive and process incoming fire alarms, 911 calls, emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire, medical emergencies, airfield emergencies, and environmental and hazardous materials incidents.
* You will dispatch personnel and apparatus to the scene of emergencies, record pertinent data, events, and logs, and initiate pre-arrival instructions to callers for fire, medical, and police emergencies.
* You will monitor status and availability of police, fire, and medical field units to assure an appropriate response is made.
* You will monitor and operate the Mass Notification (MNS) as directed to ensure proper dissemination of emergency mass notification messages throughout the installation. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver's license and be able to maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license.
* Requires the ability to meet legal requirements for carrying a firearm. Must pass all weapons qualifications tests prior to assigned duties and responsibilities and must pass all re-qualifications as required.
* You must obtain the following certifications within the first year of employment and maintain them without lapse throughout employment:
First Aid, CPF, EMO Protocols and Certifications.
* You must complete all required trainings.
* You will be required to pass the Police Applicant Suitability Review (PASR) Investigation.
* Must be able to read, write and speak English.
* This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
* This position requires rotating shift work.
* Must complete the MCESS (Marine Corps Electronic Security System) training provided by the physical security section. Qualifications GS-07:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Operating communications equipment in support of public service incidents, providing pre-arrival medical instructions to callers requesting medical assistance; dispatching fire responders, interpreting jurisdictional boundaries for law enforcement or firefighting responses or using computer systems to track and record data. Examples of specialized experience include:
1) dispatching appropriate emergency personnel;
2) Utilizes emergency dispatch and radio communications; and
3) Coordinates with local and state public safety agencies. GS-06:
