Power Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and oil‑free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations.
• Operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
• Work overtime, weekends, and occasional travel as required.

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 3–7 years of experience working on power generators and related equipment.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading schematics.
• Valid driver’s license; TWIC card or DOT medical card may be required.
• Ability to move or lift objects up to 75 lbs; meet the specified physical capacity requirements.

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel, and be on standby outside regular shifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods; stand on uneven terrain and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Capacity to push/pull up to 80 lbs, carry 60 lbs, climb stairs and ladders, and perform combined climbing while carrying 15 lbs, stoop, kneel, and squat.
• Pass the post‑offer physical abilities assessment.

Full‑time position with overtime potential. Hourly rate $37–$40.

Personal use vehicle allowed. No premium medical plan option available.
