About the Role
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Planned Maintenance Technician in Bridgeport, NJ. You will be based out of our service center, working in the field with local travel daily in your company vehicle. Overtime, weekends, and occasional travel are possible.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC equipment, and oil‑free air compressors.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle repairs.
- Work alone or teamed with another technician to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
- Obtain and maintain a TWIC card or a valid DOT medical card if required by customer requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working on diesel power/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading/understanding schematic drawings.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
- Pay Range: $29 to $32 per hour.

- Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed), and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods, and walk over uneven terrain with functional balance without special assistive devices.
- Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion for work from floor level to full overhead level.
- Must have good finger dexterity, functional hand‑eye coordination, and adequate strength to safely hold tools, stair railings, and ladders.
- Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post‑offer physical abilities assessment, which includes lifting (60 lbs), pushing/pulling (80 lbs), carrying (60 lbs), climbing stairs and ladders, and carrying objects (15 lbs) while stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
