Electrician
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential settings throughout Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Connecticut electrical regulations, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Install and connect electrical panels, breakers, transformers, lighting systems, and electrical devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostic testing to identify and resolve problems.
- Pull wire, bend conduit (EMT, PVC, and rigid), and terminate electrical systems.
- Test electrical systems and components using appropriate testing equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with state and local codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and service reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and other trades on job sites.
- Participate in safety meetings and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Respond to emergency repairs and service calls as required.
- Apprentices working toward licensure may also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or residential electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements associated with electrical installation and maintenance.
- Indoor and outdoor construction and service environments.
- Exposure to electrical currents, construction equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions.
- Overtime, weekend work, and occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, CT.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bridgeport,CT.
