Make a meaningful impact supporting students across K-12 including high-need K-8 populations in a dynamic school setting. This contract role offers you the chance to apply and grow your expertise in speech-language pathology with a varied caseload and the support you need to succeed.

Candidates with their Initial Educator Teacher Certification (Special Endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology) for the state are encouraged to apply. Both experienced CCC-SLPs and new graduate CFYs are welcome; clinical fellows will receive strong supervision and support throughout the year. The typical caseload will range from 50-60 students, with potential for an increase as the school year progresses. The schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday), beginning August 28, 2026 and concluding June 18, 2027.

Most professionals are placed at no more than two school locations. To help manage your responsibilities, one hour daily is allocated for documentation and paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Active Initial Educator Teacher Certification (Special Endorsement in SLP) or eligibility for Connecticut.
  • CCC-SLP or in process of completing CFY.
  • Experience in schools or pediatric settings is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to balance a diverse caseload.
  • Commitment to collaborative, student-centered practice.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct speech and language services to assigned K-12 students.
  • Complete and manage documentation with one hour per day allocated for paperwork.
  • Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and staff.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement IEPs for students with speech/language disorders.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
